Healthy Hot Chocolate Recipe

Winter is here! In the natural world we embrace cooler days, longer nights and a darker season. We tend to slow down, retrieve to the indoors and seek warmth. Ayurveda teaches us that each season brings forth unique qualities that can either bring balance or aggravate our mind and body. This is why it is important to consider a seasonal routine in our diet and lifestyle.  With this in mind, I am focusing on a healthy hot chocolate recipe to bring heat to the body and support to aid digestion. 


Healthy Hot Chocolate Recipe:

2 cups warm water

4 Tbs liquid sweetener (honey or maple syrup)

1/4 cup cacao powder

1 1/2 Tbs coconut butter

1 Tsp vanilla

1/4 cup hemp seeds (optional)

Pinch of salt

Blend all ingredients together and enjoy!
