My Food Philosophy

After many diets I found the best way for me to approach food and cooking is with Ayurveda.

I would describe the Ayurvedic diet as eating and using whole ingredients centered around vegetables, good fat, whole grains, legumes, seeds, natural sweetener & fruit; with an emphasis on eating fresh, seasonal produce.

Eating the Ayurvedic way has become my lifestyle. I feel the best when I focus on eating high-quality food and mixed varieties.

Most of the recipes I create are vegan even though I am not. Some recipes will use whole grain flour but mostly will be gluten-free.

I try to have a balanced approach to food. I wouldn’t travel to Japan and not have sushi, and I wouldn’t go to Mexico without trying a churro or pass on a chance to try gelato in Italy. But I also make sure I find natural local flavors like fresh coconuts in Brazil and in Taiwan,  fresh pineapples. These all became my inspiration for food.

By applying the knowledge from Ayurveda and adding herbs and spices to my recipes, I have created tasty and healing foods. I hope you will enjoy this fun and healthy way of eating.
